Liver Damage

Liver damage is a broad term that can describe various injuries to the normal functioning of the liver.  The liver plays a major role in metabolism, and also has a wide range of functions in the body, including glycogen storage, decomposition of red blood cells, plasma protein synthesis, hormone production, and detoxification.  Damage to the liver can lead to serious, and even deadly, results because the liver is a vital organ necessary for survival.
