Paxil Side Effects: Suicide

Paxil has been linked to suicidal and violent side effects in children and young adults, causing fatal injury. The FDA found that Paxil users are twice more likely to develop suicidal side effects and suffer a fatal Paxil injury than clinically depressed children taking sugar medications. In a study of 15,000 patients, eleven Paxil users suffered from suicidal side effects whereas only one among those using a sugar medication. Eight of the eleven Paxil users that experienced suicidal side effects and injury were between the ages of 18-30.

The FDA reported that at least 110 U.S. children have killed themselves while taking anti-depressants during the past 10 years. These strong Paxil suicidal side effects can occur after a few days on Paxil or within a few days of increasing the Paxil dosage.

Paxil Side Effects: Overdose

Paxil overdose can lead to significant and fatal injury. Over 350 Paxil users developed an injury after an overdose, including 50 reports of fatal injury. A usual Paxil dosage ranges between ten to forty milligrams and the highest survival of a Paxil overdose without injury was 2,000 milligrams.

  • Tremors
  • Confusion

  • Vomiting
  • Coma
