Mesothelioma Treatment Centers

Choosing a mesothelioma cancer treatment center can be a daunting task. To begin with, mesothelioma patients must decide whether they want to attend a cancer treatment center that offers traditional treatments, non-traditional and innovative treatments (such as clinical trials), or both. In addition, mesothelioma patients must choose either a cancer treatment center that specializes in treating malignant mesothelioma, or a cancer center that treats many different cancer types. Finally, mesothelioma patients must find a cancer treatment center that they feel comfortable with.

A good place to start looking for a mesothelioma cancer treatment center is with the National Cancer Institute (NCI). The NCI has designated 41 cancer centers throughout the United States as "Comprehensive Cancer Centers," indicating that the facility has fulfilled certain NCI criteria related to research and public information, education and outreach activities.
