Kugel Mesh Hernia Patch and Death
Defects in the Kugel Mesh Hernia Patch, a prosthetic used to treat hernias, have caused a number of patients to develop serious side effects, ranging from bowel obstruction to blood infections to death.

Although surgeons are no longer implanting recalled Kugel Mesh Hernia Patches, thousands of patients have already received these patches as part of hernia treatment.
